Letter to our Patients
During this unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, The Goodman Eye Center has taken extra precautions to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients, staff, and doctors. Below is a list of some of the steps we have adopted to minimize potential exposure:
- All staff and doctors are tested regularly for the SARS-CoV2 Covid-19 virus
- All staff and doctors are screened daily for exposure to SARS-CoV2, including twice-daily body temperature checks
- All staff and doctors are required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment, including face masks, eye goggles and face shields, gloves, and white coats
- All patients are similarly screened for exposure to SARS-CoV2 by introductory phone calls
- All patients are screened by body temperature checks when presenting to our clinic
- All surgical patients are SARS-CoV2 tested pre-operatively, within 72 hours prior to surgery
- Air filtration systems with Ultraviolet-C sterilizing technology have been installed
- As always, all staff and doctors wash hands frequently, including before and after each patient encounter
- We are limiting the amount of people in our office at any one time and practicing strict social distancing at all times
- Protective barriers between patients and staff in the waiting room and exam rooms have been installed
- All surfaces are disinfected frequently, including between all patient encounters
- Patient bathrooms are frequently disinfected
We thank you for your understanding and patience during these challenging times and thank you for your trust in our office.
