Dr. Yin-Yin Aung, OD
Dr. Aung completed her undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley and received her doctorate from the New England College of Optometry, where she also completed a Cornea/Contact Lens Residency. She trained at the Boston Foundation for Sight, Boston Medical Center and the New England Eye Institute, where she used specialty contact lenses to treat patients with keratoconus (irregular corneas), ocular trauma, severe dry eye, and high prescriptions.
Dr. Aung has received numerous awards, including the Vistakon Award for Excellence in Contact Lens Care, and the George Mertz Contact Lens Residency Award, for excellence in research, teaching and clinical care. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and currently teaches at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry. In addition, she has volunteered in humanitarian missions in the Philippines, Kenya and the Dominican Republic, providing eye care to underprivileged populations.
